Hooray for Headbands

Feeling blah?  Need a little something to jazz things up?  How about a fabulous and comfy headband?  I've posted a free pattern over on my sidebar, complete with photos.  This headband's secret weapon is a length of elastic hidden beneath the ties.  Three sizes are included, so dress up the whole family.  More free patterns to come!

Great headbands and thanks for the tutorial! I will recommend it to all of my friends. =)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is exactly what I have been looking for. You are awesome.

Oh I love these! I just hope I can figure out the directions. I'm not really a great pattern reader for sewing things but I'll sure as heck try! I want to make some for my daughter and for myself! I e-mailed them to the girls who live across the street too. :) Thank you!

Love those! I have made some similar ones (no ties) and they are the greatest things to have around. Very fun and easy! I am going to try out your pattern with the ties.

Thanks for the pattern! I was just thinking about how I need more fabric headbands in my life.

love the headbands! I think your blog is awesome...love the tutorials.

great pattern. i don't sew but i forwarded the link to my sister who does. i think she will enjoy it.

Another Marti here...love the headbands! I think I'll take my rainy Sunday, go through my stash and sew me up some. Thanks!

This was very fun and easy. Thanks for the great idea and pattern.

Thank you for the instructions and pattern for the beautiful headbands! My daughters looked adorable in the headbands I made to match their dresses. Ruth

Wow, those look great. THank you.

I love these!

I had my first attempt last night and although my sewing machine gave up half way through, I still have a gorgeous headband to show for it!

I just love these. They are so pretty. I have the perfect little stack of fabric pieces to try this out! Thanks for the pattern :)

the headbands are awesome.

Thanks for the pattern of this beautiful hairbands. I have a nine month old with much to much hair. I am afraid of cutting it, so the hairbands are coming very handy. Thanks again

These are so great! Your blog is awesome! I am linking to this post via my blog-I hope that is ok, thanks for the free pattern :)

Heather,

The Trib ran a grat big article about headbands last Sunday:

You trendsetter, you!

Love them! I made one up as a trial for my 25 year-old daughter...she loves it! Needless to say, there's a whole stack of fabrics she has picked waiting for me to stitch up for her. I need some too!

It is such a great idea, I always have wanted something for my hair

I love your headband pattern. I downloaded it and will try it out. My question is: could you please share how you do that hairstyle?????? I think it's wonderful. Thank you.

What a great accessory! I have a 4-year-old boy with lots of hair (to his shoulders) and since I made him two of these (one in plaid, one in bandana-paisley) he wears them everywhere! He looks adorable and his hair's no longer always in his face. Thank you!

I've become the "cool step-mom" thanks to your great pattern. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks so much for the extra pics! Now all I have to do is work out whether my scraps are big enough to make one! (Oh the trials of putting an `outfit' together!)

Hi, Great headband and thanks for the tutorial! I'm also wondering how you fixed your hair like that. Mine is super long and I am always looking for cute ways to style it. Love the 3 little buns!

Thank you for sharing Heather! This is just what I was looking for!

Hello Heather! I have just discovered your website... Your small world is very touching! Thanks for all the free patterns and good ideas you are sharing. I will surely come by more often!

Hi there,
Thanks so much for putting up patterns and tutorials. These handbands look great and so much less than buying one at the store. I look forward to seeing more posts. I'll be sure to keep this blog as a favorite!
