Blissful Living
I was toying with the idea of putting together a local meet 'n greet - Phoenix, AZ area. I was getting serious about setting one up for May. And then good fortune winks my way and I meet Kristin, designer extraordinaire and owner of my favorite local boutique, Domestic Bliss (amazing! Like Anthropologie, but better), who has plans to open a new facility for local creative types to meet up & frenzy off each other's energy, take classes, etc. We became fast friends. She's naming the studio Blissful Living. And her concept is very close to my heart. (We had an amazing dinner at their home a couple of weeks ago - should have brought my camera! - must go back & take photos. She even has chickens - fantasy of mine - in the most adorable chicken coop you'll ever see.)
And
Kristin is quick to it -- Blissful Living opens on Friday! I'm
planning to be there this Saturday, May 10th, from 11-2 to meet up with, well,
whoever stops by. A meet 'n greet. Thank you, universe. So, come see
me & maybe even bring some of your creations with you! And if you
stick around, hopefully you'll make some new friends with similar
interests who live in your neck of the desert. Visit Kristin's
Blissful Living blog for more info. And here's the address:
Blissful Living 166 W. Main St. Mesa, AZ.
I'll be teaching a workshop there toward the end of June too -- details to come.
And meet Chloe, my new little niece! My brother's fourth child, second girl. (And she looks just like her big sister, Haley.) They've had a couple of rough years and couldn't be more ecstatic about welcoming home a new baby. It's a thrill to witness. We're so glad she's here & safe!

Yes, I love Domestic Bliss and Baby Bliss, too. I try to stop by whenever I'm at the Arizona Museum for Youth. Didn't know there was a new store opening-- thanks for the heads up. Definitely gonna try to stop in on Saturday :)

Oh I am excited! I too love Kristin's shop Domestic Bliss.
So, it is a studio space where people will take/teach classes about crafty related things? I'm heading to her blog now- thanks bunches for posting this.
Will be there with bells on :)

Beautiful photo spread in MEHC. I just got the mag last night, then by chance, this morning I was blog surfing and Delaney Gates had your link on her blog... anyway - beautiful article. I Love your space and color details. And your quote (gist) "if I'm going to do something, I do it all out" - very inspiring :)

H, congrats on your beautiful niece! She's a belle!
Thank you for the heads-up on Blissful Living...wish I could be there but I live in the part of the world that is currently weatherly-disadvantaged (the Midwest) where there's always corn somewhere, not a beach anywhere and you can count on the weatherman being wrong 92% of the time! So.....if you're ever planning a meet-n-greet I'd love it if you picked somewhere in-between the big waters like, oh, St. Louis or Chicago?! Please??!! But enjoy Mesa, AZ all the same!
p.s. why don't any stores around here carry TTies??

Awwwwwwwww Miss Chloe is so beautiful. Perfect pictures to go along with a post about Blissful Living--rubbing elbows with creative types is totally blissful I have to agree. If I still lived in Phoenix, I'd pop on over and meet you IRL. Hopefully, I'll get the chance in Portland next weekend. You are an inspiring woman Heather dear!
Hugs,
Eva

Wow!! I've just found your website through the sidebar of a friends blog, and I'm loving it!! I've been drooling over your fabrics and using them in projects all Spring. It's so great to see who they've come from:) I'm so excited that you will be teaching a class at blissful living and can't wait for more details.
I've just recently started my own lil' creative business in organic baby onesie and burp cloth designs... I love visiting your blog for inspiration and motivation!!! Thanks:)
