wow, impressive!!! love this. will see if i can pull it off on my girl.

Very, very cute hairdo.

That is flippin' adorable. I may do that on my own hair while it is still long enough!

I wish you were my mom, do come do cool hair styles every morning.

That is a hairdo I've never seen before! Yes, that pdf was really helpful. I'd love to see more of them!

oh wow, that is too cute!!

I loved this PDF! Please make more of them. I am hair-do impaired.

That's amazing! Looks super-cute. My daughter's hair is long, but not thick enough (yet) to do something like that. But you can bet I'll bookmark this and come back!!

This is awesome! I love the pdf! Now, I might actually have a do that remotely resembles the photo! I can never figure out how to make a hairdo from just a picture! Thanks so much!

My 5 year old just looked at the up do and proclaimed "That's what I told you I wanted my hair to be like!!" Out of the mouths of babes...she would never sit still long enough! I will try it one day.

dang! you are amazing!!

whoa baby...

Adorable hairdo - but couldn't be near as great without such thick, shiny, healthy hair. So cute.

if i had a little girl she would so have this "hair do". stop by my blog i am "do"-ing a giveaway for some very cute hair clips that would look great in charlotte's hair as well. pamela www.frenchknots.blogspot.com

That is adorable!

Do you ever have sales on TrashTies or promotions? I'd love to try them but can't bear to pay full price without knowing whether they will work for me or not.

love it! yes please more tutorials!!!

Yes, we have TT promos. Pretty often there's a chance to get a box or two for free even. I expect we'll have some new promos and perhaps some new colors before Easter rolls around.

Everything you do is creative! Your miss salty is fabulous!

wow! great sitting still. can she teach my girls that skill?? hey for some hair inspiration i turn to this gal for ideas! http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/

LOL, that is some request you got there! :) I love the result!

Dang (that was my jaw hitting the desk) That is just too much for words :o) I love this and the pdf was more than helpful. I d love to see more of then, as I would love to try those trash ties (but they re kinda get off to pricey when you include the shipping all the way to Greece) Great job

I now know for SURE that I have NO hair styling skills. Can my daughter come and live with a cool mom????

Hello, am based in the UK and love your blog. Have just discovered online stockist in the UK selling trash ties so have now ordered some. The PDF instructions are a great idea, can't wait to play. Have put link to UK stockist on my blog.

She has got to pull of "coolest girl in school" with that hair! Well done :)

this is awesome!!!! thank you so much for doing this!! The PDF's are a great idea!

I definitely haven't seen that "do" before - impressive!

Great hairdo, and what a great "sit-stiller" your daughter is. I think she would love the book Stephanie's Ponytail by Robert Munsch. It's a favorite amongst the 4-7 year old set.

please please please do more tutorials!!! i have the short and a long one and have tried over and over to get a good result but can't! i was beginning to think it was me.:0) so i would LOVE to have tutorials! thank you so much!!

I LOVE it that she wants something no one else has! What a sense of self!

Yes PLEASE! More trash ties tutorials! I have many sets of them but can never seem to get anything to work!!!

I would love to see these, too! I would love to use Trash Ties at my wedding in the fall, but don't seem to see any ideas for short-haired girls. Would it be possible to include us as well?

The key with Trash Ties is to wrap them super tightly. If your hair is fine or slippery, wrap each around twice -- tightly. That's how each tie is wrapped in the photo above. And make sure that each wrap forms a complete circle around the hair (not a spiral) so your hair won't twirl out. And that's really all there is to it.

Also, twisting them like a twist tie is not nearly as effective and it kinks the ties all up too, so twisting isn't preferred. Wrap tightly -- and wrap twice if your hair is fine or slippery.

Wow- mission accomplished, thats a new one to me! Im going to have to order some TT for my daughter before summer. Her hair is now down to her tush and I know it will drive us both nuts once the hot weather gets here. Bravo design and I adore Little Miss Salty's desire for originality!!

Yowzer Heather - I love that and it in fact does look like a celtic knot! You're one creative chick! Good for you and thanks for the pdf.
Smiles, JEN

she's definitely a heather bailey baby, huh?? my girls know to stick to the regular ...

You're such a cool mom!!! That hairdo is incredible. Wow.

Wow! We've known you're original, but that's pretty impressive to come up with that on the spot. I've been dying to order some trash ties, but have no clue what I'd do with them (unlike someone whose name I won't mention...I am better at copying than coming up with an original). PDFs would be great!

Seriously cute! Thanks for the pdf... I'd have never figured it out

Oh wow! That is amazing.
Hello BTW. I came across your blog while surfing crafters. I LOVE the fabric you design.

Nichole

I think the PDF's should also include how many of which size trash tie the style will take. Once you get a a bunch of PDF's of styles, a search for a style based on how many ties I want to use would then pull up the right styles. I hope that makes sense!
Paige

H,

Adorable! This style is so sweet & funky - I love it! I will have to try in on my DD for our HSM2 show at the local theatre tonight.

PDF tutorials are GREAT! Please keep them coming. :)

That's AWESOME! I *love* the pdf and it looks like I'll be picking up some trash ties in the not too distant future ;o) I'd been on the fence, wondering whether to start with long ones or short ones, and now I know lol!

Oh my! My little girl won't let me run a soft brush through her hair. It's not even really hair. More like kitty fur.

Have you ever read Stepanie's Ponytail by Robert Munsch to Charlotte? You really must. It's a riot.

Cassie

Love the hair-do, by the way.

Fantasticalala! As my girls would say! I have been using your trash ties for a couple of years now, and living in the UK, having those cuties in the girls' hair always draws questions. Iv'e been doing creative hairdos for a while now, but yours takes the cake. Wow, I've just finished two heads with that cool design. My girls look fantasticalala! Thanks a bunch, please keep the pdfs coming.

Love it!!! Really, really amazing!

-FringeGirl

PDF's of Trash Ties ideas are a great idea! More, please! Some for adults that can be done by the wearer would be really useful. But the kid hair-do's are probably cutest and offer the most possibilities for colorful looks.

Heather, I love the PDF - much easier to see and understand than with photos. I'd love to wear Trash Ties since I have long hair, but since I'm in my late 30's, I'm wary of looking like a grown-up teenager. I'd love some help ditching the 'frump' and embracing the 'funk' when young styles will no longer do. Got any ideas?

Hopefully our new baby will be a girl so that I get to play with her hair!

And thanks!
Angela

I can't wait to turn my baby girl's head into a soft sculpture!

Locks of Love recently received (what I feel was) a generous donation...I don't regret it, but I REALLY miss it. Do's like this one will have to wait a while!
