Really nice article in the AR. You're a smart cookie! :)

Heather - I loved reading the interview with you and your mom. And you are right - your mom is very funny. Sounds like she has a fantastic sense of humor!

Congrats on a great Arizona Republic article.

The HB newsletter just arrived in my in-box too for another enjoyable and colorful read.

Herm....I signed up earlier this week. I wonder why mine didn't come. I even checked the spam box. I need 5 blog posts worth of HB!! :D

Intriguing article, Heather. You really are a smart cookie…16, a surgeon, that blew my mind. I'm glad you followed your creative path… though I'm sure you would have made the world a better place in a different way had you become a surgeon. It's a heck of a lot more fun for sure!

I really enjoyed both articles, but mostly...I keep coming back to the picture of you in your studio and envying your space! Someday...I'll have one of those...someday...

Like Keri, I signed up earlier this week but haven't received the newsletter yet either.

Great article! It caught my eye as soon as I opened up the paper to scan it as I ate my oatmeal!

I love your mother, and I've never met her. She truly is a writer! And she looks really familiar too- is she in the Valley as well? Perhaps I've walked past her a time or two.

What a great article! The photo of you and your mom is so great. Got my newsletter~a great go-with my coffee this morning! Can't wait for the new fabric line and patterns, too!

What a great article about you and your mom. The other one is good too. You definitely inspire! How do you do it all? :)

Thanks everyone. The newsletter went out to all but 300 subscribers last night. We had to resend it today to catch the 300 who missed it.

Everyone else, I apologize for the duplicate emails. Our service provider couldn't isolate who hadn't received it last night, so we had to resend to the whole group. Hopefully, you all have it now. If you sign up from here forth, you'll be on the list for the next newsletter.

Hi Heather! I got my newsletter -- thanks. You and your mom look great in that picture! :)

Congrats, well deserved! You are such an inspiration to all of us!! Love, love, love your fabrics and use of bright colors!!! Thank you for the happy :-)

Really great article - Lily Pulitzer meets Anthropologie - not bad, not bad at all. I think it's great you keep your creative space centrally located. It makes me feel better about taking over our dining table for my projects as our current home provides me no other options!

Saw it today and I loved it. Way to go! You look great in your mid-sentence picture. Did you get to take that getaway??

YAY! Lovely articles, Heather! I have to say to your sweet Momma, and you this one thing.......I truly love how you brought out that you were glad your mother kept crafting in your presence as a small child.......obviously that's how you were inspired in the first place.......i know people say it's genetic, and so on and so forth, but more of us moms need to hear that it is OK to sew, craft and create while we are raising our precious kiddos. It's not only our therapy, but it is the best "artist in training" class a kid could ever ask for! No need to feel guilty or befuddled when the mom next door tells us: "I just don't know where you find the time to create when you have kids." Life is what we make it! Keep it up! Loved hearing from you! Very encouraging. I was laughing out loud when your Mom was talking about how no one gets misty eyed over a pirate cake, like they do over a quilt. SO CUTE!
Happy Summer,
Laurie

PS: Kuddos to our awesome husbands that promote our creativity!

What a wonderful article. I am so inspired and have to wonder what the future holds for my 3yo daughter that tells me "When I grow big I'm going to sew." Truly inspiring. Maybe I should let her have a go at my machine (with my help, of course). . .

FYI, the Republic article was picked up by the Casa Grande Dispatch and runs in their Tri-Valley Dispatch section this week, which goes out with several papers in Pinal County on Wednesday or Thursday. That means several of those smaller weeklies will probably reprint the story too. Just thought you'd like to know that's how I found you.

I loved reading about you in the wonderful article!

I posted a photo of your amazing studio on my blog.

Hi Heather
Would you be able to tell me what the name & brand of that delightful paint color is on your studio walls? It's fabulous! I'd love to paint that in my daughter's room.
Thanks
Lisa

Hi again Heather

This in unrelated, but I've been on the hunt for hot juicy pink/red wavy chenille fabric - any ideas on where I might find this?

Thanks
Lisa
