Make a new friend in Henrietta turtle (or skip the flower corsage and make a Henry turtle). Henrietta will gladly house your pins & needles or entertain your baby or pet -- but not at the same time. She's funny that way.
You may have glimpsed my pokey new sewing buddy in my recent interview on NBC. This sewing pattern is hot off the press and ready to ship. I'm in love. Sitting by my sewing machine, Henrietta reminds me to take my time and enjoy the process.
Fresh from Bingo night, come Edna, Matilda, Eloise, Harriet, Penelope and Gladys. "Shush, dearie. Did that nice young man call B-15?" Six different materials kits available here -- pattern sold separately.
A herd of turtles. Or as my dad likes to say, "A terd of hurtles."

Now those gals are cute! Just want to pinch em'! I think it needs to be jumbo sized so I can cuddle with her! Aww.

That's my daughter's name! Now I'll have to make one. Henrietta doesn't come up that often.

How fun! I love all of these old-fashioned names. Take Penelope, I've been wondering when that one would come back in fashion. Then I met a baby Penelope while in Utah last week -- cutest little girl ever.
You're right, Henrietta doesn't come up that often.

My all-time favorite pin cushion yet! A friend just had a wee beauty and named her Harriet, it's the perfect gift. Thanks for sharing. I should have you create a pattern for the horrible green catapiller my boys have be-friended and given a home too...it's awful. I'll share some pictures tomorrow...

Now I have to peruse your fabrics for something to make a kitchen ribbon board for notices, photos etc. Best!

Your turtles are completely and totally adorable!
Posted by: Heather | September 23, 2009 at 05:14 PM
That is just the cutest turtle I've ever seen and I must make one soon!
I have a question and I hope it is okay to put it here. In the new designer felt section I see rolls of felt all bundled up that look positively like something I want to buy, buy, buy...but when it comes time to order it is individual sheets. Have you considered making bundles? I would much prefer to buy a bundle with prepicked colors.
I love all your brilliance, thanks for sharing so generously with all of us!!!

This is officially the cutest pin cushion I have ever seen!
Posted by: Jessica | September 24, 2009 at 04:11 AM
Oh my goodness how cute are they!!!
Posted by: Stephanie | September 24, 2009 at 06:03 AM
They are very cute, far, far too cute to stick pins in. Your dad sound very like mine, obviously prepubescent humour in men is universal!

The bundle idea is fantastic. We'll put together some pre-picked color packs and post them in the store as soon as we can. We're in the two-week scramble to prepare for Market. Crazy, crazy over here! But fun.

Love this! I will have to make one for my mom. She has several turtles in her backyard and she named them all H names. The original turtles were Henry and Henrietta and she named one of the babies Harriet. :)
