My group of girls is coming over again this afternoon. We're going to work on developing their sewing kits further. I haven't decided whether to make sewing baskets or or to make slip-sleeves and necklaces for the rainbow-handled embroidery scissors I'm giving them. Hm.
At our last activity, we learned all about bike care. Girl power!
We learned how to make sure our tires have the proper air pressure, how to fix a flat, replace a tube, adjust the chain, and so on. Isaac was our guest expert. He was big into cycling when I met him and has built bikes from the ground up.
If you're looking for something to do with/teach a gaggle of girls, try bike care lessons. The girls were totally into it.

Too cool!!

I love the first photo!

My girls would have totally been into it too.
I'm jealous of the young one in flip flops. We just got 5" more of snow yesterday. I long for flip flops.

Brilliant. Every girl needs to know how to care for her bike and her car. Way to empower them! I too am jealous of the flip flops. Baby it's cold here!

I am totally doing this with my girls in the next few months. It is so empowering to be able to fix your own bike.

ummm, you should post all of your activities...to um, help others? thanks.
Mine are coming over and my partner is going to do sugar scrub facials for them. (she's a professional)

Your girls must love you to bits, what great activities you're organising for them.
I love the sound of the rainbow handled embroidery scissors. Could we have a piccie please?
Enjoy your afternoon. :-)

I wish I knew how to replace a tube! Pretty sure my jogging stroller needs it!

The mere thought of flip flops is dreamy as I sit here on the East Coast absolutely buried under snow!

My husband has tried many times to give me those lessons! Somehow they never sink in. Oh, I know why, because he never lets me do it anyway! I'm a learn by doing girl.

I wish I were one of your girls. By the way, I made a skirt with one of your fabrics for my best friends two year old and I am in LOVE with it. I just find myself staring at the remnants. Your fabric designs are so pretty.

Ok first time to your blog. Love it. Question though. On the Nicey Jane post where could I find the pattern to those dresses and what song is on that video? I sure hope my local fabric store has some of those fabrics love themÜ
